FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) How many weeks do I have to sign up for?
The camp is a minimum of one week, but campers can sign up for 2, 3, 4 weeks, etc.).

2) What is the camper to staff ratio?
At all our camps, the camper to staff ratio is 7 or 8:1. We realize the importance of supervision and like to keep our ratios small.

3) When I attend camp do I have to choose one sport or can I play baseball, basketball, and soccer?
When you attend you must specialize in one sport, baseball, basketball, or soccer. The programs are set up so each day builds upon the next. Each sport is run independently of each other.

4) Can a camper attend for more than one sport?
Yes, campers can attend for more than one sport, but they will have to attend for multiple weeks, for example, one week of baseball and one week of basketball.

5) What do the campers do when they are not playing the sport they are attending for?
When campers are off the fields or court they have a multiple options. At all camp sites we have a swimming pool, game room with ping pong tables, video games, and televisions.

6) What do campers do on the weekend if they stay over?
On the weekends we take the campers to the movies, bowling or play miniature golf, and go to an amusement park.

7) Do the campers play games every day?
Although the emphasis of the camp is instructional, in all sports, campers will have a chance to play games in their sport each day.

8) Is there a chance for individual instructions with the coaches?
We limit the number of campers who attend each week so that all campers will feel like individuals instead of numbers. This gives campers ample opportunity to receive individual instructions from their coaches if they need or want it.

9) What is the objective of the camp?
The objective of all of our camps is to first teach the fundamentals of each sport and to help each and every camper improve his or her skills by the end of his/her stay. It is through the proper execution of fundamentals where athletes find success.

10) Is the camp co-ed?
We do run girls basketball and soccer camps during specific weeks. Please check the application to find out which weeks are co-ed.

11) If my child is enjoying his/her stay and wants to extend for another week, can he/she?
It is entirely possible to extend if a camper wants to stay another week, but we do limit enrollment so there will have to be a space available at that time.

12) Can I choose my roommate?
Yes, if you attend camp with a friend and want to room with him/her you can request it on the application and we will accommodate you.

13) How are roommates assigned if my child does not attend with a friend?
Campers are assigned rooms according to their age and sport. For example, an 11 year old baseball player will be assigned with another 11 year old (or close to his age) baseball player.

14) Do campers need spending money?
Yes, campers should have a small amount of spending money with them for snacks and video games. The camp will have a bank where we will hold any spending money.

15) Can campers call home?
Campers are allowed to call home at any time. All the dormitories have pay phones for them to use.

16) What time is Pick-up on Thursday?
Between 4-6 PM each Thursday afternoon.

17) What time is Pick-up on Friday?
Between 2-4 PM .
